Recently, I had the pleasure of joining the Buzzworld podcast, where we dove into the world of ethical hacking—but with a twist. Instead of the usual dry, overly technical discussions, we took a humorous approach to break down some of the most intriguing aspects of cybersecurity. Because let’s face it—hacking, when done ethically, can be both fascinating and entertaining!
We couldn’t talk about hacking without bringing up some Common Vulnerabilities and Exposures (CVEs). I walked through some of the most interesting vulnerabilities I’ve encountered—how they work, how hackers exploit them, and why developers sometimes make the same mistakes over and over again (spoiler: humans are still humans).
The banking sector is a playground for both cybercriminals and security professionals. We discussed real-world cases of banking security flaws, how hackers bypass traditional security measures, and what financial institutions need to do to stay ahead of the game. Let’s just say “two-factor authentication” doesn’t always mean “secure.”
Forget the Hollywood-style hacker pounding on a keyboard with green text flying across the screen. In reality, ethical hacking is a mix of creativity, patience, and a lot of research. I shared some behind-the-scenes stories about penetration testing, social engineering experiments, and the unexpected moments that come with working in cybersecurity.
If you’re curious about ethical hacking, cybersecurity fails, or just want a good laugh while learning something new, check out the episode on Buzzword. Whether you're in the industry or just a tech enthusiast, there’s something in there for you!
Big thanks to the Buzzword team for having me on—it was a blast! Looking forward to more discussions where we can mix security knowledge with a bit of humor. Stay secure, stay curious, and most importantly—stay entertained!
